Pardon our dust

Exciting things are happening at the Center for Vision & Learning!  Today we began a remodeling and expansion of our office!

We are adding another 20% of space so that we can provide a larger vision therapy room to better serve our patients.  This will allow us to see more patients during the high-demand, after school hours and Saturdays.  We will also have a nice, long area that is just perfect for sports vision training!

We will be rearranging the current area so that we can add a pre-testing area, dedicated contact lens area and second exam room for better efficiency during the examination process.  And, the waiting room is also being enlarged so that hopefully we will no longer have patients sitting in the hallway during those peak times!

The staff is most excited about having a real break room where they can sit at an actual table to eat lunch, instead of sitting at their desk.  We are all saddened that we'll be losing our in-office restroom, but with the hall restrooms right outside our office, we think it will be worth it to have larger patient care areas.

Here's a sneak peak pic of the demolition that began on the new space today.  I'm planning to update this blog regularly with pictures showing the progress of the remodel.  Please bear with us during this process, as we are basically gutting the entire office to make this happen.

Here are a few "Before" pics of the space that will soon become the new vision therapy space (and yes, we are definitely getting new carpet and wall coverings!!):
