Home Vision Therapy: Peripheral Awareness Training

Welcome to your daily home vision therapy portal. This page hosts your peripheral vision exercises. Peripheral awareness helps broaden your visual field, improve spatial orientation, and reduce visual fatigue during daily tasks like reading or driving.

Your Daily Schedule

For maximum neuroplasticity (your brain's ability to adapt and rewire), consistency is key.

  • Session Length: 3 to 5 minutes per video.

  • Frequency: Up to 5 times per day.

  • Rest: Take at least a 1-hour break between sessions to prevent eye strain.

Exercise Instructions

Before clicking a video below, make sure you follow these setup steps to get the full therapeutic benefit.

1.Position yourself: Distance matters.

Sit comfortably exactly 18 to 24 inches away from your computer screen. Ensure the screen is at eye level.

Click the Full Screen icon (a square with outward-pointing corners) in the bottom-right corner of the video player, or double tap the video to enlarge the screen.

2.Lock your fixation: Maintain central focus.

Stare directly at the center crosshair or target in the middle of the video. Your eyes must stay locked on this target the entire time. Do not look directly at the objects moving in the background.

3.Expand your awareness: See without looking.

While keeping your eyes fixed on the center, consciously try to notice the shapes, colors, or movements happening at the edges of the screen.

4.Stop if fatigued: Safety first.

If you experience a headache, dizziness, or sharp eye strain, stop immediately and rest. Pushing through fatigue can be counterproductive.
