New Advancement In Concussion Treatment and Prevention Now Offered by the Center for Vision & Learning

We would like to introduce you to the Eye-Sync, a new tool we are offering at our office. Eye-Sync is a portable eye movement tracking device that uses virtual reality technology. It’s quick, painless, and already changing the way we manage our concussion patients.

In under 4 minutes, we can use the accuracy and efficiency of your eye movements to evaluate your brain performance and health. You see, the eyes are controlled by your brainstem. So assessing the eyes is directly looking at how healthy your brain is working.

This device will help us better diagnose concussions in our office. It will also help us objectively help us tell you if your brain is ready to go back to playing the game you love, or the work that you need to perform. It even will help us prevent concussions if we use it as a baseline screening measurement.

And, because the device is portable, we can take it to an area football or soccer game, and use it sideline to determine if a player who has a suspected brain injury on the field is healthy enough to go back into the game.
